Save on Energy:
Energy Affordability Program
Reduce your electricity use at no cost
The Energy Affordability Program from Save on Energy offers free upgrades to households that use electricity. The upgrades help lower bills and improve comfort.
What’s included
Depending on your home’s needs, you may receive:
- ENERGY STAR® light bulbs
- Smart power strip
- Smart thermostat
- Energy-efficient fridge and freezer
- Window air conditioner and dehumidifier
- Cold-climate air source heat pump (for electric-heated homes)
- Attic or basement insulation
- Weatherstripping around doors and windows
- High-efficiency showerheads and faucet aerators
- Drying line for clothes
All upgrades are based on a free home energy assessment.
Who it’s for
You may qualify if:
- You live in Ontario
- You pay an electricity bill
- Your household income meets the program’s criteria or you receive government benefits
Enbridge Gas:
Home Winterproofing Program
Make your home warmer and your heating bills smaller
The Home Winterproofing Program from Enbridge Gas offers free upgrades to income-eligible households that heat with natural gas.
What’s included
You may be eligible for:
- Wall, attic, or basement insulation
- Draft-proofing (air sealing)
These upgrades can help you save up to 30% on your heating costs. Installation is free and handled by professional contractors after a home assessment.

- You heat your home with natural gas
- You live in Ontario
- Your household income meets the program’s criteria or you receive government benefits
